The $2.5 million facility is a two-story design with apparatus bays and an off-street parking area. The building design consists of 10,000 square feet of building footprint and includes apparatus bays and office space. The second story is 6,000 square feet and includes dormitory, kitchen and related areas. The apparatus bays were designed to be a pull-through station, utilizing both 32nd and 33rd Streets. The parking area holds approximately 16 standard vehicles and includes consideration for increased water runoff. The structural system is concrete masonry with pre-engineered trusses. The majority of the exterior cladding is brick veneer and fiber cement siding. Unique features of the facility are two sliding poles from the dormitory area to the apparatus bays. This new station is located on Bull Street off 32nd Street and replaces the fire station located at 6 West Henry Street.
