Fire Station #11
Savannah, Georgia
Designed by Watkins Associates, this is the latest evolution in Savannah’s Fire Station design concepts and will serve as a prototype for future stations. The 9,100 square foot, $1.5 million facility includes two apparatus bays, sleeping quarters, common areas, restrooms, showers, office space, equipment shop and storage areas. In addition, the facility has space specifically designed for the testing and repair of the department’s air tanks and masks. The fire station has back-up power supplied by a stand-by emergency generator.
