Additions and Renovations to the John W. Hubert Middle School

Savannah, Georgia

Dabbs Williams has been contracted for construction services for the Renovations and Additions to the John W. Hubert Middle School in Savannah, Georgia.  Demolition of the original circa 1950’s kitchen and cafeteria is scheduled to begin in September with fresh innovative food services ready to open Summer of 2016.

This project marks the Savannah Chatham County School Board’s first functioning ‘Food Court’ style delivery for middle school students.  Utilization of natural light, architecturally exposed structures and specialty food service equipment will become the central focal point of the 600 student facility.

The 12,000sf addition also includes a performance stage, new central receiving areas, new courtyards, landscaping and a complete re-roof of the entire existing facility.

Hubert Middle has been recognized again as a ‘High Performance School’ ranking in the Top 10% of all Title I schools in the State.  This project will enrich and reward both Students and Faculty for their scholastic achievements.
